WHAT IS INVOLVED IN PEAK PERFORMANCE TRAINING?
Coach White begins with the mind, the greatest computer in the history of the world. The player, parents and Coach White establish concrete goals that are both realistic and achievable. Coach White teaches PART TO WHOLE. The mental is to physical as 4 is to 1. Every basketball player learns differently but all players can learn through repetition and positive reinforcement. First, Coach White performs a quick assessment of the player’s ability. Next, he teaches the mental aspects of fundamentals followed by teaching of the physical aspect of each fundamental. Coach White applies positive reinforcement every step of the way.
HOW OFTEN DOES A PLAYER TRAIN?
Players will train one or two times per week determined by the parents and Coach White. A minimum of six training sessions are required. This gives the player adequate time to improve their abilities. Each player has homework to do between sessions. Without working daily, improvement is just not possible. Thirty minutes to one hour per day is expected. Parents are encouraged to work with the player at home.
ARE PARENTS INVITED TO WATCH SESSIONS?
Yes! Parents may watch or drop off and pick up. Coach White teaches the exact same whether parents watch or not. Parents will never participate in the training. Once sessions begin, Coach White is totally focused on teaching the player.
WHAT CLOTHING SHOULD BE WORN FOR THE WORKOUT?
Basketball gear and basketball shoes. Players should bring their own basketball and a water bottle. Sessions will be intense. We will take several water breaks.
